LONGi Solar is one of the top companies in the photovoltaic industry and is distinguished by solutions resulting from product innovations that have optimized cost-to-power ratios using the latest monocrystalline technologies.

Each year, LONGi supplies more than 30 GW of high-efficiency solar wafers and modules worldwide, covering virtually a quarter of global market demand.

LONGi, which was established in 2000, is one of the companies with the highest market value ($54,583billion, December 2020), and this has been achieved in part due to its constant focus on innovation and sustainable development.

LONGi Solar’s core businessis the production of monocrystalline silicon wafers and modules and the implementation of solutions for distributed and ground-mounted power plant systems.

Among the company’s goals is to become an industry leader in setting standards for M1, M2 and Mono wafer modules.

P-type PERC solar panels achieved 24.06% efficiency, which ranks among the best in the World, while module efficiency reaches 22.38%, another record-breaking figure certified by TÜV Rheinland (January 2020 data).

Constant attention to technological innovation

LONGi Solar has always been focused on the adoption of innovative technology solutions, and from 2012 to 2020 has invested about $1.23 billion in research and development.

In addition to having a particularly active R&D department in which more than 800 people are employed, LONGi Solar has established collaborations with three research centres for the development of silicon wafers, cells, and modules, and has strategic partnerships with the University of New South Wales and the National Silicon Materials Laboratory of Zhejiang University.

LONGi Solar, a company with brilliant results

By choosing LONGi SOlar branded products, you are sure to be able to easily access and obtain financing as the company has been included in Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s (BNEF) list of standardTier1 PV module manufacturers for the fifth consecutive year.

PV-Tech, which handles ratings in the PV industry, also gave LONGi Solar a AAA rating, the highest obtainable grade, in its Q1 2020 bankability analysis.

LONGi Solar also ranks first among PV companies for financial strength in BNEF’s Altman-Z Score index.

These brilliant results are due to LONGi Solar’s steady revenue growth over the past 3 years. Most importantly, these successes have been achieved in a sustainable manner, which ensures product quality and financial stability.

The advantages of half-cell technology.

LONGi Solar offers PERC technology modules based on the advanced mono wafer and anti-LID technology. This solution guarantees a power output in the first year of ≥ 98% for PV modules.

In addition, LONGi solar uses half-cell technology. The cell is cut into two separate parts by an infrared laser, which then halves the working current.

In this way, the thermal loss of the ribbon will be greatly reduced while the module power will increase by 2%.

The half-cell technology combined with the double-sided module can amplify the gain on the effect of current reduction. This solution prevents hot spots, that is, some parts from reaching a high temperature and risking deterioration and helps to reduce the temperature by 10-20 ℃, increasing the reliability of the module.

The unique design given by the half-cell technology allows 50% power output to be achieved when shading the array at sunrise or sunset during vertical installation.

In addition, the double-sided half-cell module has a higher energy yield than the conventional module. Under conditions where high solar radiation is present, the lowest LCOE will be reached quickly.
